Welcome to Term 4

Hi everyone! We have had a lovely holiday and are now back at work.

We started the term off by reading Jack and the Beanstalk for shared reading and we planted some peas (because Mrs O'Donnell loves peas and not beans!) They are already starting to grow. We have put them in a warm sunny place on the window sill.

Here you can see some of the shoots and roots growing.

We also read about Maui and the Sun. The sun was going too fast across the sky and so Maui and his brothers had to find a way to slow it down. We used black vivid and dye to create a detailed picture of the sun. We tried to use some koru shapes in our picture. Then we dabbed blue and white paint onto our background to look like the sky. These pictures will make our classroom sunny and cheerful.

Hi Room 3. I'm glad you all had a lovely holiday and so did I (in sunny Sydney). I'm with Mrs O'Donnell on the peas - beans "yuck". Enjoy the rest of your week. Another long weekend - yippee :o)
